What is dental implants?
An implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone in the position of the missing tooth root. Once it has integrated with the bone, a custom crown is fixed on top. The result stands on its own — neighbouring teeth are not cut down or used for support, as they are with a conventional bridge.
Who is it for?
You have one or more missing teeth and want a fixed replacement.
A removable denture or partial is uncomfortable or unstable.
You would rather not cut down healthy adjacent teeth for a bridge.
A tooth has to be removed and you want to plan the replacement now.
Concerns patients bring to us
- Chewing only on one side, or avoiding certain foods entirely.
- A visible gap that changes how you speak or smile in photographs.
- Neighbouring teeth tilting or drifting into the space over time.
- Being told the bone has reduced since the tooth was lost.
Benefits
Cared for like a natural tooth — brushing, flossing and regular reviews.
The implant stands independently, so healthy teeth are not prepared.
Metal-free crowns matched to the shade and shape of your own teeth.
Restores even chewing across both sides of the mouth.
The treatment process
Examination, radiographs and an assessment of bone and gum health.
Implant position and size planned before the appointment.
A short procedure under local anaesthesia, followed by written aftercare.
The implant integrates with the bone; a temporary option can be discussed.
The custom crown is fitted, checked in the bite and finished.
Follow-up appointments and ongoing hygiene maintenance.
Technology & approach
Implant positions are planned on digital records before surgery, so the placement follows the plan rather than the other way round. Sterilisation and single-use protocols apply to every step.
