What is crowns & bridges?
A crown covers and protects a single tooth that is too damaged for a filling. A bridge does something similar across a gap — the teeth on either side of a missing tooth are shaped to support a false tooth fixed permanently between them. Both are custom-made to match your bite and the shade of your natural teeth.
Who is it for?
A tooth is too damaged or weakened for a filling to be enough.
You have one or more missing teeth and want a fixed, non-removable option.
Neighbouring teeth already have large fillings or crowns of their own.
You would rather not consider a removable denture.
Concerns patients bring to us
- A gap from a missing tooth that is starting to affect your bite.
- Neighbouring teeth drifting or tilting into the space.
- A heavily damaged tooth you are not sure can be saved with a filling.
- Wanting a permanent option rather than something removable.
Benefits
Bridges are cemented in and function like natural teeth — no removing them at night.
Replaces missing teeth so chewing force is shared evenly again.
A crown covers and reinforces a tooth that a filling alone cannot protect.
Shaded and shaped to match the teeth around them.
The treatment process
The tooth (or the teeth either side of a gap) is shaped to support the restoration.
A precise digital or physical impression is taken and sent to the lab.
A temporary crown or bridge protects the area while yours is made.
The finished piece is checked and cemented permanently in place.
Technology & approach
Bridges and crowns are fabricated from your impression by a dental laboratory, then checked against your actual bite before final cementation — not just the model.
